(i) A + B = B + A
(ii) A + (-A) = (-A) + A = 0

Solution:
(i) (x−3x+y+73x−zx+y+z)=(1106)
x – 3 = 1 ⇒ x = 4
3x – z = 0
3(4) – z = 0
-z = -12 ⇒ z = 12
x + y + 7 = 1
x + y = -6
4 + y = -6
y = -10
x = 4, y = -10, z = 12

(ii) [xy−zz+3]+[y43]=[4816]
x + y = 4 ……………. (1)
y – z + 4 = 8 ………….. (2)
z + 3 + 3 = 16 ………….. (3)
From (3), we get z = 10
From (2), we get y – 10 + 4 = 8

From (1) we get x + 14 = 4
